What is Pinterest?
This is a question I have been asked a lot actually. So the best way to describe it is to let the folk's at Pinterest tell you. Be forewarned..it's addicting. But it is full of a lot of great ideas to get your creative juices flowing. Now in order to pin you have got to be invited. So please shoot me an email and I would be happy to invite you!

Thanksgiving 2010
We spent Thanksgiving in Sacramento with my Folk's, my Sister and her family drove in my Utah and my Brother and his family live right in there Roseville. It was so nice to have almost everyone there..missing was Cassie and her family. The grand kids now range in age from 24 to almost 7. I have the oldest and youngest in my family. Ooops..David would be the youngest now at 15 months!
Anywho..we made a lot of great memories with the kids. A great day of fun, food and games on Thanksgiving and over the next couple days we took them to see Tangled, went bowling and took them TP'ing! That is by far one of my kids favorite parts of the weekend. My Dad was a wreck thinking about us doing this..we tp'd a church members house..mind you this church member is someone my sister and I were in youth group with and he LOVES to tp houses! We had a blast and left a note..which James enjoyed finding out it was us.
And Here is Thanksgiving in a picture collages..enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving!
We have so much to be thankful for! Just yesterday Jeffrey had a dentist appointment and dental bills can be expensive with insurance but without Yikes! So I get to the counter to check out and someone had paid the bill in full! I was so blown away! I couldn't bring myself to speak it at first because I just cried. Thank you Lord for special angels you place in our life!
This past Sunday one of our pastors had challenged our congregation to make a list of 50 things that we are thankful for. We will be making our list as we travel down the road to Grandma's house. We want to encourage you to do the same.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

What I'm thinking about this morning...
I find it so important to be praying for our children. I am trying to instill the importance of prayer with my children and they love to pray.. many times we all pray because they both have things on their hearts. We have a carpool and it's funny..when it's my week to drive one of the five kiddos always chimes in telling me "We need to pray"! I love that!
Sunday night we had a prayer meeting for Orphan Sunday. Let me paint a picture for you...The adults were sitting in a chairs in a circle and in the middle of that circle were about thirteen children. They were each given a name of a child at the Redeemer House Orphanage in Uganda and one by one they lifted that child in prayer. Oh my goodness it brought tears to my eyes.
And then today which is what spurred this post. As I dropped off the kids this morning some very dear friends were in their car praying for their child before school. Once again...this gal was crying!
So the moral of this post..Please pray for your children. Train them up in the ways of the Lord. As parents we want the very best for them. What a better gift to give your child than training them up in the Lord.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7, 18
These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up....Do what is right and good in the Lord's sight, so that it may go well with you and you may go in and take over the good land that the LORD promised on oath to your forefathers,
Ephesians 6:4
Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
Matthew 19:14
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
1 Timothy 4:12
Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

Seeing Stars!
I have been very busy crocheting lately. I think it's the Fall air that put me in the mood. That and all the babies that we have coming. Here are a few projects...
This one is for a little guy that is coming home from Africa very soon with his forever Mommy and Daddy.
This one I did a couple of years ago for David..but it needed to be bigger so I have added a few rows..like the one above it's 36" ..nice size!
And this camo blanket..sadly I started too long ago and just finished for a sweet brown eyed Hunter V..it finished out about 3x5..nice size. At that time I would have had only one other blanket to make for the kids..since then Isaiah has joined their family. So two more to go! Unless the Lord knows something I don't..better get to it!

Crazy Hair Day
It's theme week at school and actually we have another one next week for Red Ribbon week! Today was crazy hair day..so glad I have not taken Jeffrey in for a haircut or we would have had nothing to work with! It's hard to tell in the picture..but Grace had six different brades and/or pony tails going on..very cute!

Ahchoo!
This house has been hit by Fall Allergies! And let me just say they are no fun! Thankfully they are not bothering Jeffrey but Grace and I just want to climb under the covers and sleep through them! We are going through the Puffs! Grace had left for school the last two days with tissue box in hand. Praying that the allergy meds I am already taking pick it up and they go away!
I don't think it's a coincidence they have knocked me out the last couple days..I am going to an AWANA ministry conference this weekend and Satin does not like it when we strive to be closer to our Lord and Savior. So today I am resting and praying that I feel wonderful tomorrow and ready to take in what is being taught. Have a blessed Friday!

Book Wreath
I don't know if you have seen these or not but they are becoming quite a hit and expensive to buy! So I sat down one Saturday and made my own! I found this blog and I was off and running with my glue gun! I decided to use a couple of Jeff's old books and was thrilled when I found one one he wrote "X-Man" (for Chrisman) in! Here is my finished project and by the way I LOVE THIS WREATH! It hangs above my desk and I have not tired of it yet. By the way I tucked the xman in where I could always see it. Oh and the reason the cost is high to purchase these is that they are very time consuming but well worth in the end.

Fun Weekend!
Jeffrey was invited by The Horne's to spend the weekend with them out at the R-Ranch for a time of camping and fishing. Well, he made it one night and day and even though we were going to be out there on Sunday he wanted to come home Saturday night. So of course this mama went and got her boy! The high note for him is that he caught his first fish! Thank you Greg for spending time with my sweet boy. He is at the age where is has such a need for that now. And thank you for the new fishing pole. I believe we will be hanging it up in his room..he love it! Christie thank you for all the great pictures! Here is a collage of those!
So while Jeffrey was enjoying some much needed male bonding. Grace and I enjoyed some time just the two of us! We slept in on Saturday morning and then headed to Medford and had a great time making free bookmarks and pendants at the craft store. After spending nearly three hours in the craft store..Grace was determined to win the contest they were having...we finally gave up and headed to Red Robin for great lunch and then saw the movie You Again. Not often you can find a PG movie and it was cute to boot! It was then we got the call that Bub wanted to come home so we picked him up on the way home.
Sunday we headed back to the R-Ranch and had a great time with our dear friends The Horne's, Peacemaker's, and Williams. The kids were nearly non existent as they entertained themselves with the great outdoors!

Crafty Chatter
Let me start off by explaining what Crafty Chatter is. Crafty Chatter was born out of my friend Christie and I's love of crafts and desire to create a time of fellowship for other women. Our monthly goal is to create a craft under $5.00 something that one would want to display or gift and most important to be a Light for our Lord and Savior. Our first craft was a Fall Rag Wreath...here are a few pictures. We had a great turn out and we are looking forward the next one!

Kkrazy Busy!
Here we are mid September... AWANA starts back up tonight and I am now the T&T Director!
Christie, Kari and I did the first craft with the first grade class yesterday and I have been asked to do crafts for the upper grades Enrichment time. I love crafting with kids...well with anyone really!
First PTO meeting was also yesterday and we will have a fundraiser going come the end of October!
Christie and I are also preparing for our first monthly Crafty Chatter at church in another week. It looks like we will have a great turnout and we are really looking forward to it. We will be making a Fall Rag Wreath. I will post some pictures here soon of some of the crafts we have been up to lately.
We also have a weekly bible study starting in a little over a week at church. It's Beth Moore's study..A Woman's Heart. Doesn't that just sound great? I am looking forward to it. It's been a couple years since we have done one of her studies and I sure did enjoy Believing God. Highly recommend it! I still refer to my book.
Well, I hope everyone is enjoying the change in season. The kids and I have spotted some leaves changing and we are enjoying the milder temps. School for myself and the kids is going well and as you can see we are busy bees. The day is getting away from me so I better get back to the house. Before I know it, it will be time to get the kids from the bus. Happy Wednesday!

Calling all pumpkin fans!
The following article was posted on a blog I follow:
MOM Tip: Pumpkin Shortage
from: Susan Fox
24/7 MOMS Family Life Editor
I don't know if you've heard about the "Great Pumpkin Shortage"??? in 2009 many pumpkin crops were apparently lost due to flooding fields, caused by too much rain and too little sun. Libby's, a Nestle company is the primary supplier of canned pumpkin in the US. Most of their supply is grown in Illinois. There is still concern about shortages of pumpkin this fall. Hopefully store shelves will fill up again after harvest later this fall.
I am reading stories about 16oz cans of pumpkin being sold on E-bay for as much as $30. Locally, here in the Seattle area, most stores are completely out. However I have been able to find a small amount of Farmer's Market Organic Pumpkin on some store shelves. I bought a 15 oz. can at Safeway for $2.59. The same product, same size is being sold on Amazon for $5.99.
So if you are getting in the fall baking mood like I am, if you see pumpkin you might want to stock up. Let's hope for more supply coming by Thanksgiving!
Here is a link to an article run by the Washington Post concerning the shortage.

So I had to see for myself and here is the link to ebay ..yikes! All I have to say is if you see some pumpkin in the store stock up! Cassie was already finding it hard to find it in Colorado.

Busy Fall ahead!
As, for me I have had to drop one of my classes..the anatomy class was a drive to Weed twice a week and the financial aid office didn't get my VA submitted in time which means no funding from them...which means the cost in gas to high for me without it. So I will take it next fall. The reason for next fall is that Cassie is due in the spring and I hope to be spending a few weeks out there with them.
Other news..I have gladly taken over the roll of T&T director for our AWANA program. We will start that on the 15th and really look forward to learning all the T&Ters names..other than just my group of girls. I am excited as we have new leaders this year as well. Really looking forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for these young people.

Crafts! Christie and I will be doing crafts with the first grade once a week and once a month (the planning takes place tomorrow)at the church as a fellowship outreach. We are excited about both of these opportunities. Christie..just love her! My crafty friend! As I am typing she just text me a picture of a magnet she mod podged! We are becoming addicted to Mod Podge!

Bible Study! I hear that we are going to be doing another Beth Moore study this fall. I am so excited about this! Love Beth Moore! Looking forward to seeing what blessings will come from this study with a great group of women.
Oh and I don't want to forget the upcoming Montague Balloon Fair coming September 24-26 right here in our little town. It is a lot of fun watching those balloons go and up and the best part is inviting over friends for breakfast that Saturday morning. Love the fellowship and the noise from the kids!
So..yes we have a busy time coming up but i wouldn't miss any of it for the world!
