Ever wish you could help someone with adoption?

Here's your chance! There are some of you that may call people that adopt amazing, special, wonderful or any number of other adjectives. We call ourselves called by God and very blessed. Maybe you are not called to adopt but we are all called as Christians in James 1:27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

A blog that I follow has an amazing post today about just that...bringing these children to their forever families. And how we can help. You can read it HERE . The Vaughan family who is very precious to our family just brought home another new treasure by the name of Daniel. You can read about their journey to Daniel HERE and they have great give-a-way going on HERE. You can join the give-a-way by making a PayPal gift towards the adoption of Daniel to help them complete their adoption. We will be throwing a Baby Shower for Shauna but we will be showering them with donations please feel free to link up to PayPal and let's hit that $10,000 mark!

Busy Fall ahead!

Well, school is in full swing..which includes a lot of homework for Grace. She is feeling a bit frustrated with one of her classes as the teacher seems to move a bit fast for her. This bothers me because Grace is a great student always on the A honor roll. So we are praying things get into some sort of a groove for her. Jeffrey is loving first grade and his teacher is so sweet! I am looking forward to starting crafts with them soon.

As, for me I have had to drop one of my classes..the anatomy class was a drive to Weed twice a week and the financial aid office didn't get my VA submitted in time which means no funding from them...which means the cost in gas to high for me without it. So I will take it next fall. The reason for next fall is that Cassie is due in the spring and I hope to be spending a few weeks out there with them.

Other news..I have gladly taken over the roll of T&T director for our AWANA program. We will start that on the 15th and really look forward to learning all the T&Ters names..other than just my group of girls. I am excited as we have new leaders this year as well. Really looking forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for these young people.

Crafts! Christie and I will be doing crafts with the first grade once a week and once a month (the planning takes place tomorrow)at the church as a fellowship outreach. We are excited about both of these opportunities. Christie..just love her! My crafty friend! As I am typing she just text me a picture of a magnet she mod podged! We are becoming addicted to Mod Podge!

Bible Study! I hear that we are going to be doing another Beth Moore study this fall. I am so excited about this! Love Beth Moore! Looking forward to seeing what blessings will come from this study with a great group of women.

Oh and I don't want to forget the upcoming Montague Balloon Fair coming September 24-26 right here in our little town. It is a lot of fun watching those balloons go and up and the best part is inviting over friends for breakfast that Saturday morning. Love the fellowship and the noise from the kids!

So..yes we have a busy time coming up but i wouldn't miss any of it for the world!

My folk's made the trip this weekend to meet Lil' David...my Dad's namesake. It has been a nice quiet weekend and Cassie has been able to rest a bit. Here are a couple pictures of David with his Great Grandparents.

Cassie Update

Just wanted to give everyone an update on Cassie. She is still contracting nothing new to report other than that. Just early labor that she hopes will either stop or actually turn into something. We would appreciate any and all prayers. She and RW talk everyday and so he is up to date on the situation.

Baby update

As some may know Cassie has been having contractions since early Sunday morning. They continue to come and it looks like this will be the case until her body says it's time for the baby. There is no need to stop the labor because she is at full term however she is very tired having done this for so many hours already. This could go for a few days or weeks like this. We would appreciate prayers for Cassie and the baby but also for RW who is so far away and can't do a thing. She is not answering her phone except to RW at this point. She just is not in the mood to talk and anybody that knows Cassie doesn't want to talk to her then anyway! We will let you all know when there is news.

Baby update

Cassie had a doctor's appointment today and all is well. The Dr. let Grace and Jeffrey help with the exam..while Jeffrey got to squirt ultrasound gel on his Sissy's belly, Grace got to find David's heartbeat! They loved it! Cassie is really the ideal patient thus far..perfect weight gain and no problems! We pray that everything will continue this way.

IT'S A >>>>>>>>>>

BOY! Cassie had a scan this morning and the Nurse Practitioner was able to tell them they are having a son! So bring on the blue yarn.. I have a lot of crocheting to do! Oh and he is being named after my Dad..David Ray. RW's parents used the initials D.R.R for all of their kids and the after many discussions Cassie said that she would go for that on the first born son only. RW said that worked for him thus..David Ray. Ray also happens to be RW's Dad's middle name.
