*I am thankful for all the little hugs I got today from Jeffrey and the Vaughan kiddos. Just love them all!
*I am thankful that tomorrow is Friday and I get to pick Grace up from camp!
*I am thankful and love the thunderstorm we are getting...smells so good outside.

Thank you Julie you made this Mommy's day! I miss my sweet girl. It seems like she has been gone forever with having two camps back to back and then I stayed home with Cassie on Sunday so my in laws dropped her off for me. Cassie Update
Just wanted to give everyone an update on Cassie. She is still contracting nothing new to report other than that. Just early labor that she hopes will either stop or actually turn into something. We would appreciate any and all prayers. She and RW talk everyday and so he is up to date on the situation. Monday, July 27, 2009
Baby update
As some may know Cassie has been having contractions since early Sunday morning. They continue to come and it looks like this will be the case until her body says it's time for the baby. There is no need to stop the labor because she is at full term however she is very tired having done this for so many hours already. This could go for a few days or weeks like this. We would appreciate prayers for Cassie and the baby but also for RW who is so far away and can't do a thing. She is not answering her phone except to RW at this point. She just is not in the mood to talk and anybody that knows Cassie doesn't want to talk to her then anyway! We will let you all know when there is news.Friday, July 24, 2009
Camp #1
Thank you to all the adults and youth who made this possible. You are all such blessings!
Above is a craft they did at camp with the memory verse.... Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Thankful Thursday
Wow what a day! I got to spend the entire day with my oldest! I am so thankful to have a great relationship with Cassie. I am thankful to watch her belly grow and look forward to watching her mother her sweet baby once he arrives. I am thankful for my dear friend that kept Bub today so we could go and play in Medford. He had such a great time with his buddies! He came home tired and happy.
I am thankful for my Grace who has been at camp the last few days. My girlfriend and I were talking about how we don't realize how much the girls help till their gone. I hope Grace has forged new friendships in the last few days and pray she has grown in her walk with the Lord.
I am thankful for quiet moments like these where I can blog and read the blogs I follow. I am thankful to all you other bloggers out there! You have touched my life and encourage me.

Thankful Thursday
I am so Thankful for this beautiful part of the country I live in. We took a drive to Medford today and it was so nice just taking in all of God's creation. So beautiful!
I am thankful for all the blogs that I read daily. They have all touched my life in one way or another. But, to be praying with these people all over the county and to see God working is amazing!
I am thankful that my son in love is safe today and seems to be getting into a groove over yonder.
I am thankful for my church family. I love you all so much. Thank you for always lending a word of wisdom, a smile, a prayer or hug.
I am thankful for my children. For years after Cassie was born we wanted more but it was not to be until we gave it all to the Lord. To see what others go through with adoption....I am ever so thankful my two babies came to us so easily. Thank you Lord Jesus! I cannot imagine my life without them!

Water Fun!
What do you get when you combine a little boy and a garden hose?...... Great Memories! Tonight while cleaning up in the backyard Jeffrey wanted to help with watering. It was so much fun watching him have a blast with a hose! He was soaking wet and happy!
Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him.

Summer Colds
So we have been battling the summer cold at our house. Grace and Jeffrey have been spared but Cassie and I got hit hard. Today my fourth day I am finally starting to feel better but poor Cassie is in bed as I type. She just feels awful...and fears she will blow David right out!LOL Otherwise our week is nice a mellow which gives us time to mend and get ready for Cassie's Baby Shower on Saturday! We hope you are healthy and enjoying summer at your home!
Do you lack wisdom?
So yesterday's verse from Bible txt
James 1:5-6 (New International Version)
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
This verse really struck me. How often do we as Christians doubt what God can do? I know I am guilty of it. How often do we ask and yet not with a believing heart? Again I am guilty of that. God is wisdom, truth, and love..He does not doubt. If our faith is in the Lord Jesus Christ we need to remember to go to Him with a believing heart. It is through Him we can have the ultimate peace that this world cannot and will never give. It is so easy to get caught up in the world we live in and yet the only real consistency a person can have is in knowing Jesus as their own personal savior. He is the one constant in my life and having a personal relationship with Christ is the most amazing experience a person can have. I cannot imagine my life without it! It doesn't mean the world doesn't creep in but we need to remember to go the Lord in prayer for wisdom (webster's defines as good sense) in our lives.

Sigh of relief..for the moment

Cassie received a call this morning from her love and he is back on the base safe. I cannot stress enough how much these troops are in need of prayer. I can say this much..it is going to be a long and rough year for these men and women if it continues as it has in the past several weeks.
Here is a prayer someone sent me..every so perfect!
Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Amen.
