Monday Monday

Well, I sit here at my computer when I should be clearing out Cassie's room. But, I also wanted to share some pictures from the weekend. I had the joy of having the Vaughan Four here for the weekend and we had such a great time..it always goes so fast. Anyway we had Little League opening ceremony's on Saturday and let me just say..how cute those little guys are in their uniforms or as Jeffrey called it his "suit". So enjoy slide show...I am off to clean...Monday's!

New Belly Pictures!

I just got these from RW's Mom and had to post them.
So cute..I can't wait to get my hands on that belly!!!

Thankful Thursday

Today I have been spring cleaning! It feels so good to get rid of things. I am finally after two years of living here putting my room together. I have had my bedding and such but I want to create my little own sanctuary again.

I am so thankful for the sunshine and the use of my Pa in law's truck! Like I said clearing out the clutter...and it's going to the dump!

I also want to mention Connor...He is doing well and breathing on his own. Carol sent me the sweetest picture that I will post.

Oh..and we are so excited Cassie will be home mid April and we can hardly wait! She is busy packing their house up to go into storage....she has the spring clear out bug also!

Girls day out!

Me with Karol

Thankful Thursday

I am getting this in just under the wire. What a crazy busy week it has been and it's only going to get busier! Although I am tired I wouldn't miss any of this craziness for anything!

I am so thankful for all the parents that take the time to volunteer with sports, awana, etc. You all make it come together and create memories for our children. I am ever so grateful! And...a special note..to Justin..he is helping the kids..three of theirs and my two put five cars together for the Awana Grand Prix on Sunday. Thank you for always being such a great surrogate Dad to my kids. I am so Thankful for this special family. Shauna has had my kids a lot this week and they could not have been happier.

I am thankful though it seems crazy at times..for my full plate of activities. The coffee shop at church is really coming along and I am excited to see where God will lead me on this journey.

I am thankful for the time I was able to spend with my friend Karol yesterday. She has such a great spirit about her and she is just so much fun to be around. I drove her up for an appointment with her Oncologist (may I say..very cute) and to get chemo but we had a blast!!Just two girlfriends having fun! I love you my friend!

Are you wearing Green?

I have never seen my kids get dressed as fast as they did this morning. Once they knew it was St. Patrick's Day they ran to put their Green on. Here is a picture of them from this morning.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my Mom's 62nd birthday ....and we are so happy to have her here after all that she has been through in the last 6 months. She is up and walking everyday with the pups in tow. Anyone that knows my parents knows how important their dogs are to them..or should I say my sisters(we like to give them a hard time about that).
I love you Mom and I am so proud of you! Happy Birthday!

Answered Prayer

Here is the email I opened this morning...

Just wanted to let everyone know Connor is doing good. He weighed 4 pounds and 3 ounces last night. He started his feedings again and is doing very well. He also is on room air and is retaining his body temperature. Hopefully he will move to a open air crib soon. They are still watching him really close. He has bounced back so fast. Thanks for all the prayers. Carol

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today my Dad is 62 years old...or young! I just wanted to take a moment and wish him a Happy Birthday! He has always been a good provider and he was the christian head of our household growing up. I have a relationship with Christ today because of my parents. I love you Dad!

Thankful Thursday

It never ceases to amaze me how fast the weeks fly by. Today Cassie had her 18 week ultrasound and all is well ..Lil' David is growing has all is parts and is healthy.

I am also thankful for my friends Michelle and Ruthann and the time we are able to spend together. We have really forged a bond between us and it is nice to share our Love for the Lord together.

For our military..you hold a special place in this former Army wife's heart. I pray for your safety and well being. My son in law will be deploying again this year and I could not be more proud of him. Though sad he will not be here for the birth of his first born... it is part of the job. God Bless our Troops both far and wide.

Connor Update

Here is the email from Carol this morning.

Connor has been okay since the transfusion. So far they haven't seen a hole in his intestines. He is very fussy due to being hungry. They may start milk feedings in a few days. He has not got any worse and some of inflammation has gone down. Thanks for all the prayers. Love, Carol

Prayer needed for Baby Connor

Here is a copy of an email I got from my girlfriend Carol this morning.

Hi, Connor got very sick yesterday. He had blood in his stools. They had to give him a blood transfusion last night. All his counts were down. At one point all his numbers went to 0 on the monitors. We thought we were going to lose him. They did CPR once. He had lost his color and his little face was blueish. They moved him to a more critical pod. They have been doing X-rays and so far there is no damage to intestines. The inflammation is going down. They have discontinued his breast milk feedings for now. So, right now it is wait and see how the next 24 hours go. Please pray that he gets over this infection. One doctor says it is NEC (Necrotizing Enterocolitis) and another says it just may be a simple infection.

Family and friends please pray for Connor and his family. I will update as soon as I hear anything. Thank you!

First BBQ of the season~

What a fun day! We had a BBQ at Michelle's with Ruthann..as well as the six kids we have between us. It was a wonderful time of fellowship and good food. I love these sister's of mine I always love when we can get together.

The day was beautiful although a bit chilly but that never seems to bother kids..they spent their time playing outside and would come in and play the Wii while they warmed up.

Thank you Lord for such a great day!

We all had a great time...now on to the week ahead!

Spring is in the air!

It's that time of the year again...Ball season! This is Grace's fifth year playing softball and Jeffrey starts T-Ball this year. Saturday was such a beautiful day and while they needed cleats I thought a trip to the batting cages would be fun. I also let the kids play a few games thankfully they were not as into that as Grace was into batting.

After playing for a bit we then headed to the Vaughan's for Dawson's fifth birthday party! We always enjoy ourselves there.

Grace had some very sore arms after hitting a lot of balls!

Jeffrey watching Grace bat

They had a blast with this game

The Chrisman and Vaughan Kids! Cuties don't you think?

It's Thursday already??

Wow the week just flew by! This is the first chance I have had to sit down today and write. I am thankful for....

My Mom's surgery going well and her spirits being lifted in the process!

For good friends that take the time to listen and give Godly advice..Thank you Shauna!

For well behaved children..Oh I pray they continue on this road through the teen years!

I am thankful I get to take my friend to radiation tomorrow. I love how she was once a patient in Sacramento and that we were brought together again all the way up here! I love you Karol!

I am thankful for quiet moments like right now that give me time to reflect on such blessings.

The latest

Spoke with my Mom earlier and she is so happy to be on the road to recovery. She has been dealing with this since October. They had to put a stint in her bile duct and in one month they will have to go back in to remove it. Which means the same surgery she had today ...she will have again in one month. Please continue to pray for my Mom, she has been quite the trooper and while she has had some down days she remains positive. Thank you for all your prayers my friends! Here is a picture of Mom with my kids taken just last month. I look forward to seeing her feel better! I love you Mom!

Praise the Lord

Just got a call from my Dad...The doctor was able to remove all the stones and remove the tube that has been hanging out of her since October! Thank you Lord Jesus!! My Dad was so relieved he just broke down in tears.

Still Waiting

Just wanted to drop a note here and let everyone know that we are still awaiting news about my Mom. I spoke to Dad at 2:30 pm and she was in surgery and had been since about 1:oo pm. I will update the moment I know something.

Just as I was about to post this my Dad called it is now 3:50 pm and Mom is still in surgery. Please pray for my Mom, Dad, the physicians and medical staff. I know the Lord our ultimate physician has his hand in this and pray that Mom will come out of this well.
