Had to share..My daughter's Christmas card!

Merry Christmas

So many things have happened this month alone. So much to be thankful for.
Tonight however my thoughts have me thankful for the birth of a sweet baby named
JESUS
born so many years ago. A baby who grew to be a man. Who paid the
ultimate sacrifice by dying on the cross to forgive me. to forgive you. a sinner.
What a better gift than eternal life! The ultimate Christmas gift!

Wishing everyone a blessed Christmas

Thanksgiving 2010

We spent Thanksgiving in Sacramento with my Folk's, my Sister and her family drove in my Utah and my Brother and his family live right in there Roseville.  It was so nice to have almost everyone there..missing was Cassie and her family. The grand kids now range in age from 24 to almost 7. I have the oldest and youngest in my family. Ooops..David would be the youngest now at 15 months!

Anywho..we made a lot of great memories with the kids. A great day of fun, food and games on Thanksgiving and over the next couple days we took them to see Tangled, went bowling and took them TP'ing! That is by far one of my kids favorite parts of the weekend. My Dad was a wreck thinking about us doing this..we tp'd a church members house..mind you this church member is someone my sister and I were in youth group with and he LOVES to tp houses! We had a blast and left a note..which James enjoyed finding out it was us.

And Here is Thanksgiving in a picture collages..enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We have so much to be thankful for! Just yesterday Jeffrey had a dentist appointment and dental bills can be expensive with insurance but without Yikes! So I get to the counter to check out and someone had paid the bill in full! I was so blown away! I couldn't bring myself to speak it at first because I just cried. Thank you Lord for special angels you place in our life!

This past Sunday one of our pastors had challenged our congregation to make a list of 50 things that we are thankful for. We will be making our list as we travel down the road to Grandma's house. We want to encourage you to do the same.

Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

I came across this list of things we can pray for our children. I know there is a bigger one out there and if you have it could you please email it to me? Thank you!

What I'm thinking about this morning...

I find it so important to be praying for our children. I am trying to instill the importance of prayer with my children and they love to pray.. many times we all pray because they both have things on their hearts. We have a carpool and it's funny..when it's my week to drive one of the five kiddos always chimes in telling me "We need to pray"! I love that!

Sunday night we had a prayer meeting for Orphan Sunday. Let me paint a picture for you...The adults were sitting in a chairs in a circle and in the middle of that circle were about thirteen children. They were each given a name of a child at the Redeemer House Orphanage in Uganda and one by one they lifted that child in prayer. Oh my goodness it brought tears to my eyes.

And then today which is what spurred this post. As I dropped off the kids this morning some very dear friends were in their car praying for their child before school. Once again...this gal was crying!

So the moral of this post..Please pray for your children. Train them up in the ways of the Lord. As parents we want the very best for them. What a better gift to give your child than training them up in the Lord.

Deuteronomy 6:6-7, 18

These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up....Do what is right and good in the Lord's sight, so that it may go well with you and you may go in and take over the good land that the LORD promised on oath to your forefathers,

Ephesians 6:4

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

Matthew 19:14

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

1 Timothy 4:12

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
