Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for Cassie being home and watching her belly grow! Feeling little David kick is a joy for us all.

Last night was the last AWANA till the new school year...I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve in the AWANA program. I love my girls and though I am losing a couple to youth group next year I am excited about the Sparky's that are up and coming! Grace and Jeffrey both got awards last night...Grace for finishing her book 1..she is working on 2..and Jeffrey for completing his Cubbie book! He will be moving up to a Sparky in the Fall. My how time flies.

I am thankful for our soldier's that serve this great country of ours. My son in law will soon be depl**ing again and being there for that moment is sure to bring up a lot of memories..however I am thankful for having lived the Army life it prepared me for many things over the years and now I will be there for Cassie.

Lithia Park

We went to Medford to pick up a bassinet for Lil' David and while we were up that way...I told the kids I would take them to Lithia Park in Ashland..if they would cooperate with me taking some photo's. That and I have to photograph the baby belly..or as Jeffrey is now fondly calling Cassie.."Big Belly"!

Go Panther's!

This time of the year is crazy busy more so with both of the kids playing ball this year. As busy as it can be it is still a lot of fun. Grace really enjoys playing softball and it is so much fun watching them!! Here are some pictures from Gracie's most recent game.

Watoto!

It has been awhile since I have updated. We have been very busy preparing for the Watoto choir to arrive as well as Cassie's homecoming.

On Thursday 4/16/09 ..which was by the way a wonderful Thankful Thursday! The Watoto Choir arrived. I cannot begin to express how very blessed we were and still are by their visit. We were so honored to have had Auntie Ruth, Sharon, Irene and Priscilla in our home. We spent the evening getting to know one another over dinner and then snuggled in for a movie. It was so much fun watching the kids all giggle together. Grace and I also enjoyed a manicure from Aunt Ruth who has been to beauty school. After the kids had gone to bed Ruth and I stayed up and watched a movie together which was so much fun..she is 21 and loves movies!

Friday night was the concert and WOW! If you are able to see them in concert I highly recommend it. It was such a powerful experience..Lil' David even enjoyed it he was kicking right along with them! Everyone I know was blessed by these amazing Men, Women and children from Uganda.

Go Phillies!

Today was Jeffrey's first T-Ball game. It's funny you forget how stinkin' cute it is when they are just learning. For instance one of our little guys was told he was to play 2nd base..and that was HIS base..so when a runner from the other team came and tried to stand on it ..our little Phillie wouldn't have it and kept pushing him off the base! Nobody was hurt and everyone got a good laugh out of it..kids are just literal no two ways about it! Enjoy the pictures.

Monday Monday

Well, I sit here at my computer when I should be clearing out Cassie's room. But, I also wanted to share some pictures from the weekend. I had the joy of having the Vaughan Four here for the weekend and we had such a great time..it always goes so fast. Anyway we had Little League opening ceremony's on Saturday and let me just say..how cute those little guys are in their uniforms or as Jeffrey called it his "suit". So enjoy slide show...I am off to clean...Monday's!
