Prayer Needed!!

I was introduced to an amazing family just yesterday by my dear friend Shauna. They are in need of our prayers. You can read their story on their blog A Place Called Simplicity. Please lift them in your prayers. They have touched me and my kids with their faithfulness to God.

Jeffrey's vision

Riding in the car last night my sweet son tells me he had a vision from God. Of course I wanted to hear more! He goes on to tell me he saw a wooden cross and it was there God told him how he keeps his promises. Jeffrey went on to tell us that it made him happy Which made this Mommy happy and so pleased. The Beth Moore study that we finished in December she talks about leaving a heritage to our children. A heritage of Christ..no finer gift could I imagine. Thank you Lord for your bountiful love!

Shhh..

I sit here and type in a very quite house. We went to see Bedtime Stories again because Cassie wanted to see it and the kids wanted to watch it with here. It really is a great family movie.

Quiet time is few and far between when you have young children and being a single parent thrown into that adds up to a very small amount. I love this time it is my time to reflect upon the great gifts from the Lord. I am ever so thankful to have such an amazing God to serve. I came upon this verse that I have decided to use for my verse for the second half of the month. Jeremiah 33:3 Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. You know my children have many questions concerning their Daddy. Some day's there are more questions than answers. This is an ongoing issue in our house and I have been praying about it... then I was led to this verse. God is so faithful!

Today has been a whinny, fighting, cry fest at our house! I think the excitement of Sissy coming home has the kids in a tither and me at my wits end. So has I said Cassie is coming home for a visit. RW is at Fort Polk training for a month so Cassie is coming home to hang out with us while he is gone. I look forward to picking her up tomorrow!!

New Years Memory Verse Challenge

I am joining my friend Shauna and many other women in Beth Moore's memory verse challenge for 2009. You can go to her blog by clicking above.

My first verse was comes right off her blog it is..

Isaiah 33:6 He will be the sure foundation for your times,
a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge;
the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure.

What a blessing!

Bedtime Stories

This evening we went with the Vaughan family and saw this great family movie. I have included the link to christian movie reviews. The highlight for Jeffrey was seeing Buzz Lightyear in the audience during one of the scenes. Gracie's favorite part was Sandler's character being kicked by the angry dwarf. Really a great family movie a lot of laughs throughout.
